Título: Perovskite nanoparticles: novel class of nanomaterials, novel physical processes, new opportunities
Resumo:
Six years after the first successful synthesis of all-inorganic perovskite nanomaterials, this novel class of quantum-confined semiconductor became the focus of research for a number of groups worldwide. Much of this growing interest in investigating CsPbX3 (X = Cl, Br or I) has emerged from their set of unique photophysical properties. In this talk, I will discuss the unique electronic structure of perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) and perovskites nanopletlets (PNPs) and the consequences on their photophysical properties, which include strong multi-exciton Coulombic interactions, peculiar band alignment with photoemission that originates from a bright triplet level, and unusual electron-phonon interactions.
