Título: The Casimir effect
Resumo:
The talk is devoted to a review of dispersion forces from their origin to the present day. The following topics are covered: The history of the issue; Van der Waals, Casimir, and Casimir-Polder forces. It also covers the different calculation approaches, such as zeta-function regularization and the scattering matrix of QFT. Finally, it discusses applications to Dirac materials.
