  Resumo: s able to understand during my journey as an IS student, researcher, reviewer, and editor. In fact, I only became a better writer when I started reviewing other people’s work. Becoming an editor, then, made me much more aware of what is publishable and what is not. You shouldn’t have to wait until you do all of that, in order to learn how to write papers others would like to read, because, by then, you may not have time to write, any longer. I hope I can save you a few years of self-learning I had to go through until I mastered some of the basics of writing more effectively. That may make a huge difference in shaping your career as an IS researcher.
